It helped me to feel good about myself, give me statistics that stripped away diet culture messages and was generally filled with resources and support. it’s also written by a nutritionist who has studied weight science and many other things. It’s a very good book. I have dealt with body shame pretty much all my life and recently even my uncle Tom has been getting on me about losing weight. I was feeling triggered so when someone recommended another book called body positive power I read that and it mentioned this one.
